Bot settings

Update the core bot profile: title, description, instructions, default model, and delete a bot when needed. Model selection respects your plan.

Where to find it

- Go to Dashboard → Bots, then click a bot card to open its workspace.

- In the workspace left nav, choose General.

Fields in General

Title

The bot name shown in lists and on the chat page. Use something descriptive (e.g., “Support Assistant”).

Description

Short summary of what the bot does—used in cards and helps teammates identify the bot.

Instructions

System prompt: define role, tone, and constraints. Keep it concise and actionable.

Model

Default LLM for the bot. Starter locks the default model; upgrade to choose other models. When locked, the selector is disabled and an upgrade CTA appears.

Placeholder for “General tab” screenshot (title, description, instructions, model selector + upgrade banner).
Saving and feedback

- Click Save changes to persist updates; success and error toasts confirm results.

- Validation errors show inline if required fields are missing.

Deleting a bot

- Use Delete Bot in the General tab.

- Confirm the alert; deletion is soft (bot becomes inactive), and slots are released per plan limits.

Tips

- Keep instructions focused; avoid conflicting directives.

- Rename bots responsibly; slugs change if you rename, and old slugs redirect when possible.

- Upgrade to Pro/Advanced if you need model flexibility per bot.
